Im 35 and planning my first baby now. Everyone keeps making comments about my age and its honestly stressing me out. Wanted to understand from real experiences how much age actually matters.
Younger usually means easier conceiving, and a bit older can mean more monitoring. I had my second at 34 and it was smooth. Eat well, manage weight, do your scans and you handle whatever your age brings.
Dont stress over your age too much. Many women have happy healthy pregnancies at all ages. Just take care of yourself and keep your checkups regular, the rest your doctor will guide.
I had my baby a bit later in life through IVF so this topic is close to me. Yes age can make conceiving take longer and doctors watch a bit more closely, but plenty of women have healthy pregnancies later too. Dont let numbers scare you, just stay in good touch with your doctor.
My gynac explained that after 35 they keep a closer eye on things like BP, sugar and they may offer extra screening tests, simply as precaution. It doesnt mean problems will happen. Good health and regular checkups matter more than age alone she said.
Age plays a role in fertility and in some risks, that is true, but every woman is individual. Honestly your own doctor looking at your health is far more useful than general statements. Dont go by averages, go by your reports.
