Bit confused honestly. When my gynac says im 9 weeks, is she counting from the day i conceived or from my last period? And then how do they reach the 9 month delivery date from that. Can someone explain simply pls.
Two babies done and I still find it confusing honestly. Doctor counts in weeks from last period, then converts to months at the end. Just go by what the scan says, the dating ultrasound is more accurate than our calculations.
My gynac explained it nicely. Pregnancy age is counted from the first day of your last period, not from the day of conception. So when they say 8 weeks, it actually includes about 2 weeks before you even conceived. The due date is usually 40 weeks from that last period date.
Omg same doubt na, I kept thinking my months were wrong. My LMP date and scan date were 5 days apart and I panicked. Did anyone else have this small difference too?
