My gynac has put me on a low dose aspirin and i just took it without asking much in the appointment. Now im curious what its actually doing for the pregnancy. Not changing anything, just want to understand it better.
Aspirin is not something to start on ur own at all. My doctor put me on a low dose because of my BP risk and it was monitored properly. Please dont take it without ur gynac prescribing it.
From what my doc explained, low dose aspirin can help with blood flow to the placenta in certain high risk cases. But she said only when prescribed for a reason like previous complications. It is not a general pregnancy tablet.
Honestly anything medicine related in pregnancy should go through ur gynac. Aspirin has its place but only doctor decides dose and timing. Better safe na.
