Usually, an early scan around 6-7 weeks is how doctors confirm if the pregnancy is in the right place. Just keep your routine checkups on track and stay positive.
In my case, my doctor did a transvaginal ultrasound in the 6th week to check the gestational sac. I didn't have any pain, but they always do this scan just to be 100% sure everything is fine.
Normally it is detected through an early ultrasound scan and blood tests checking your HCG levels. If you feel any sharp one-sided pain or spotting, don't wait for internet answers, just run to your gynac!
Please be very careful about this because ectopic can be dangerous if ignored. If u have severe pelvic pain, shoulder pain or bleeding, pls go to the ER or call your doctor immediately. Only an ultrasound can confirm it safely.
I am also reading up on this because we are planning. From what I know, doctors check this through early blood tests and a scan. Hopefully we all get good news safely soon.
