I'm trying to keep track of how far along I am, but sometimes I get confused with the dates. What are the common ways to check and calculate your pregnancy week? Is it from the last period date?
I used to get so confused about this! You calculate it from the first day of your last period, not the conception day. I am in my 18th week now, but does anyone else feel like the weeks are moving so slowly?
Honestly, just download a good pregnancy tracker app like Flo or BabyCenter and input your last period date (LMP). It calculates the exact week and day instantly, which is super helpful when you are busy with work. The scan report will also have it.
It's so exciting to count the weeks as your baby grows! You can count from your last period date, but the doctor's early dating scan is the most accurate. Cherish these weeks, they fly by so fast before you know it.
Just count from your last period, or let the ultrasound do the math. Currently I'm in week 36 and let me tell you, every week feels like a month at this point! I just want this baby out now, haha.
You count it starting from your LMP. Knowing your exact week is very important, especially for tracking milestone tests like the gestational diabetes sugar test which happens around week 24 to 28. Keep a calendar note of it.
