My last scan showed my fluid levels are on the higher side and gynac mentioned keeping an eye on it. Im a little worried and will be discussing properly at my next visit. Meanwhile did anyone go through this, what did ur doctor suggest?
In my case the higher fluid was linked to my sugar levels, and once my GD was controlled with the diet and meds the doctor gave, things improved. So managing any underlying issue helps, but only under your doctor. Pls dont cut down water or do anything on your own to reduce fluid, thats not how it works.
High amniotic fluid, polyhydramnios, is not something to manage on your own at home please. I had this and my doctor monitored it closely with scans and found the cause first. Pls dont try home methods to reduce it, follow your gynac exactly, they will decide if anything needs to be done.
I would have panicked too hearing this, but please dont try random things to lower it. Mine needed proper monitoring and the doctor handled it step by step. Write down your questions and ask your gynac at the next scan, that calmed me more than searching online.
My doctor explained that extra fluid can have different causes, like gestational diabetes among others, so they look into why first rather than just reducing it. It really needs medical supervision with regular scans and sometimes managing the underlying cause. There isnt a safe DIY way to lower it, so please stay closely guided by your specialist.
