I am asking for my younger cousin because she is in college and honestly our family never talks openly about this. I want to guide her properly, not scare her. What should girls know clearly?
In our time no one talked about these things and that was the problem. Beta, the real answer is talking openly with children, guiding them with love and proper knowledge instead of fear. Keep them busy in studies and good company too.
Honestly the biggest thing is open conversation and proper awareness. Kids need to know facts, not feel scared to ask. Education about safety and contraception, and a parent they can talk to without judgement.
From what i have seen, awareness about contraception and reproductive health makes the biggest difference. Counselling and a non judgemental adult to talk to really helps teens make safe choices.
Awareness is everything here. Age appropriate education, knowing about protection, and access to a trusted adult or doctor to ask questions. Schools and families both have a role in this.
