Bit of a basic q sorry, this is all very new for me. We just started trying and i genuinely dont know the right way to check at home. Can someone explain how u all did it?

Beta, just wait till your period is late by 4-5 days, then use a clean kit in the morning. Don't rely on old homemade tests with salt or sugar, they are not reliable.
