We recently started planning and I feel awkward asking basic questions. I know about intercourse, but not properly about ovulation and fertile window. Can someone explain how conception happens in simple terms?
When sperm fertilises the egg during your fertile window, pregnancy starts. Most chances are mid cycle. If its not happening after a while, just see a gynac, no shame in it.
Simply put, conception happens when sperm meets the egg around ovulation time, mid cycle usually. If you are trying, tracking your fertile days helps. Your gynac can guide you on timing.
I was figuring this out too when we started trying. Basically around the middle of the cycle is the fertile window when chances are best. I started tracking my dates, it helped me understand.
Conception is when the egg gets fertilised by sperm and settles in the uterus. The key is the ovulation days. There are apps to track it, or a doctor can check your cycle properly.
