I had a bad viral fever right around the time we were trying this month and now im worried it may have messed up my chances. We have been trying since a few months already. Did fever affect conceiving for anyone here?
A normal short fever usually doesnt stop you from conceiving. High fever around ovulation time can sometimes affect things, but its not a big worry for one off. If fevers are frequent better to get checked by ur doctor for the cause.
I was worried about this too when we were trying. From what my doctor said, occasional mild fever is okay, body recovers. She just told me to avoid self medicating randomly while trying. Maybe ask urs about which medicines are safe in this phase.
If its a high or repeated fever, worth telling your gynac since they may want to know the reason. For a small fever, generally no major effect on conceiving. Care more about not taking unsafe meds while trying.
Dont overthink one fever na. I conceived once right after getting over a viral and everything was fine. Just rest, stay hydrated and dont take any random tablet without asking, thats the main thing.
