They get tender and heavier early because the body is already prepping for feeding. Mine even leaked a tiny bit later on. A good supportive bra makes all the difference, dont suffer in tight ones.
For me the soreness and the darkening around the nipple came early, my mother said it confirms things are progressing nicely. All normal, but if you ever feel a hard lump, just mention it to your doctor.

Tenderness, fuller feeling, darker areola and sometimes visible veins, all very normal early on. With both pregnancies my bras stopped fitting within weeks. Get a couple of soft comfy bras, youll thank yourself.
