Im a constant worrier, 18 weeks now and i havent felt proper movements yet so my mind keeps going to worst places. Between scans how do you all stay reassured that everything is ok inside?
I used a kick counter feature on my app daily in the third trimester, it really helped me feel in control. Combined with regular scans and normal reports, that's how I knew baby was okay. The app reminded me of every appointment too.
Movements are a big sign in the later months. If you ever notice the baby moving much less than usual, or you have bleeding or severe pain, call your doctor right away, dont wait it out. Otherwise regular visits keep you reassured.
My gynac told me the markers are the scan growth measurements, the heartbeat, and after mid pregnancy the baby's movement pattern. She said go for all the routine scans on time and never skip a checkup, that's how you stay on top of it.
Regular checkups and the scans are your real reassurance, they check heartbeat and growth. Once you feel movements (around 18-20 weeks), counting kicks daily tells you a lot. Beyond that, dont let google scare you, trust the reports.
Honestly I worry about this every single day. My doctor said as long as scans are good, you eat well and baby kicks normally, things are fine. Counting kicks calms me down. Anyone else obsess over this too?
Beta, the doctor visits exist exactly for this peace of mind. Eat well, rest, attend every scan, and feel those kicks. You're doing more than enough by caring this much, try not to drown in worry.
