Home kits are good for initial confirmation, but if you have any cramping or spotting, please go to a doctor immediately for a blood test. Home tests don't tell you if the pregnancy is safe.

I tracked my cycle using a fertility app and tested exactly on my missed period date using a standard urine kit. First morning urine is best because hCG concentration is highest then.
