Everyone keeps asking me which month im in but the doc only tells me in weeks, currently 22 weeks. I always get confused converting it yaar. How do you all figure out the month from weeks?
Usually, we consider four weeks as one month. So if you are 16 weeks pregnant, it's like four months. My MIL also used to calculate like this, but finally, it is the doctor's calculation based on scans that really matters for the due date. Just follow your doctor.
Oh god, this calculation always confused me! I'm in my 2nd trimester now, and my app says 20 weeks but my MIL says 5 months. I just tell everyone I'm halfway through. Is it really just weeks divided by four? Does anyone else get confused by this?
It's roughly 4 weeks to a month. Knowing your weeks helps in estimating your due date, which is super important for planning hospital bookings and delivery costs. Start saving from early on, every month counts! The earlier you know, the better you can plan your finances for all the tests and baby stuff.
For me, with PCOS, my dates were always a bit confusing. My gynac strictly went by the ultrasound weeks, not months. But generally, 4 weeks is considered a month. Just make sure to clarify your exact week and month with your doctor, they will guide you correctly.
Technically, one month isn't exactly four weeks, as months have varying days. Doctors usually count pregnancy in 40 weeks from your last menstrual period. While you can roughly divide weeks by four to get months, remember it's not always precise. Most doctors stick to weeks for accuracy.
