Im 18 weeks and everyone keeps asking if i felt the baby kick yet, but honestly i dont know what im supposed to feel. Like is it a flutter, a thump? scared im missing it. pls share how it felt for u first time.
It honestly feels like a little fish flipping at first, so cute. Dont stress if you dont feel it super early, especially first pregnancy. It comes when it's ready.
I started doing kick counts in an app from third trimester, it told me the normal range. Gave me so much reassurance daily. The app even logged the time of day baby was most active.
Early on it's like little flutters or gas like feeling, then it turns into clear kicks. With my second I felt it a bit earlier. Once movements are regular, just keep a rough track and tell doc if they reduce.
Lovely feeling, but once you're feeling regular movements, do notice if they suddenly drop. I was told to count and call the doctor if baby is quiet for long. Better safe on this one.
Right now my little one does full gymnastics at 2 am when I'm trying to sleep haha. Started as flutters, now it's elbows and feet poking everywhere. Tiring but I secretly love it.
I felt the first movements like tiny bubbles or flutters around 5 months, it was the sweetest feeling. Later it became proper kicks and rolls. I used to just sit quietly and feel my baby, honestly magical.
