My scan date and my last period date are not matching exactly. I am trying to understand when conception may have happened because cycles are irregular. How did you figure it out?
We always counted from the last period at home. Conception is around the middle of your cycle. But really the early ultrasound is the one that tells your doctor the timing properly, trust that.
I wondered the same! Turns out you cant know the exact day usually, its estimated from your cycle. If you track ovulation it helps. My doctor just said the scan tells the proper timing, so i stopped guessing.
Conception is usually around 2 weeks after your last period started, near ovulation time. Doctors actually count pregnancy from last period not from conception. The dating scan gives the closest estimate of how far along you are.
Roughly it happens around ovulation, about two weeks after your last period began. Exact date is hard to know unless you tracked ovulation. The scan settles it, leave it to the doctor.
I tracked my ovulation so i had a rough idea of the day. Otherwise its calculated from your last period date minus about 2 weeks. The early ultrasound is what your doctor uses to pin it down accurately.
