Everyone in my family keeps telling me to drink nariyal pani daily, my MIL gets one for me every morning na. I do feel fresh after it but curious what it actually does for the baby. Is it really that beneficial or just a myth?
Just a small heads up, I had GD so I had to count even coconut water as it has natural sugar. For normal pregnancy its fine and hydrating, but if your sugar is being watched then ask your doc about quantity.
At my mom's house we always had nariyal paani daily, it kept me hydrated and was so refreshing in summer. It helped my acidity too honestly. But amma's belief that it makes baby fair, that part dont take seriously, doctor laughed when I asked.
Mainly its just good hydration and some natural electrolytes, nothing magical. I drank it when I felt low energy and it helped. One a day is enough, dont overdo thinking more is better.
I have it after my evening walk, replaces the fluids nicely and I dont feel that dehydrated headache. Plain water is still the main thing though, coconut water is just a nice extra.
Beta in our time we gave it for cooling the body and for acidity. It is light on the stomach na. Take fresh one, not the packaged sugary kind, and if you have any sugar issue check with doctor first.
