Im 36 weeks and getting some tightening in my pet on and off, but i genuinely cant tell if these are real contractions or just the practice ones. This is my first baby so i have no clue what im supposed to feel. How did u all know it was the real thing?
I keep feeling small tightenings but they go away when I lie down. Are these Braxton Hicks or should I be worried? I'm so confused about how the real ones will feel.
Real contractions get stronger, longer, and closer together over time. My doctor told me if they don't stop when I change positions or drink water, it's the real deal.
Honestly, at first I thought it was just gas from the spicy chaat I ate! But then the tightening started coming in regular intervals. Definitely different from food gas!
Mild tightening (Braxton Hicks) can happen if you are dehydrated—try drinking two glasses of water and resting. But if the pain is severe or regular, call your gynac straight away.
It feels like a very intense period cramp that wraps around your whole belly and back, making it hard to talk through. Take deep breaths when it happens.
