I had chinese from outside the other day and only later realised most of it has ajinomoto. Now im feeling guilty in my first trimester. Does msg actually harm the baby or am i panicking for nothing?
From what I read, MSG in normal food amounts is generally considered ok, its mostly the excess and very salty processed food thats the concern. I kept my packaged food low. If unsure, your doctor can advise.
I cut down a lot on MSG heavy stuff like instant noodles and packet soups, mainly because of the sodium and my sugar watch. Not so much fear of MSG itself but the overall junk. Better whole food honestly.
