My younger cousin is 17 and pregnant, the whole family is tense about it. I just want to understand what kind of effect it can have on her health and body at this age. If anyone has been through this or seen it closely pls share.
At a young age the body is still growing so there can be more risks like high BP or low weight baby. Im not saying to scare you, but proper doctor care from early on really matters here. Pls dont skip checkups.
Physically the body may need more support and emotionally it can feel like a lot too. The main thing is good prenatal care and people around to help. With the right care many young moms do absolutely fine.
From what my doctor explained, younger moms can have higher chance of anaemia, BP issues and sometimes early delivery. The fix is mostly early and regular monitoring. So a good gynac who follows up closely is key.
It can affect both health and mind side. Nutrition needs to be solid, regular gynac visits, and honestly enough rest and emotional support. If this is for someone you know, just make sure she sees a doctor early.
Whoever this is about, please surround her with care and no judgement. Good food, regular doctor visits and a calm mind go a long way. Take care of her, the rest follows.
