My period is 5 days late and the home test showed faint line. Thinking of going to gynac but dont want to go too early and waste a visit if she cant confirm yet. From how many days is it actually visible to them?
A home test usually shows after a missed period, but the gynac confirms with a blood test (beta hcg) which can pick it up even a bit earlier. On scan the sac shows around 5 to 6 weeks. Dont rush to ultrasound too early, you may not see much.
My doc said blood hcg can detect pregnancy roughly 10 to 12 days after conception, before even a urine test. But to actually see the baby and heartbeat on ultrasound she said wait till 6 weeks plus. So detection and seeing it are different stages.
I tested positive at home 2 days after missed period and then went to gynac in a week. She said for clear heartbeat on scan I had to wait till around 6 to 7 weeks. The waiting was the hardest part na.

Haan, blood test se jaldi pata chal jaata hai, even before period miss confirm ho. Par scan pe baby thoda baad me dikhta hai na, so dont worry if first scan is too early. Doc se timing puch lo.
