How early can a transvag ultrasound detect pregnancy?

Test came positive and im super early, maybe 5 weeks. Gynac mentioned a transvaginal scan. I just want to know how soon it can actually show the baby or heartbeat? Dont want to go too early and panic if nothing shows.

During my treatment they did early transvaginal scans, the sac showed around 5 weeks for me. The heartbeat came a bit later and that wait was so emotional. Try to stay calm if its too early to see, it doesnt always mean bad news.

My gynac said a transvaginal scan can usually pick up the sac around 5 weeks and the heartbeat by 6 to 7 weeks. Earlier than that it may show nothing even if you are pregnant. She told me not to panic if the first early scan looked empty.

Earliest is roughly 5 weeks for the sac on a transvaginal scan. Many ladies get an empty looking scan if done too soon and worry needlessly. Trust your doctors timing on when to scan.
