We tried this cycle and im too anxious to wait for the missed period. Heard blood test is more accurate than the kit. how many days after can it actually detect? want to book one but not sure if its too soon.
Blood tests detect it earlier than home kits, roughly a week to ten days after conception. That said, testing too early can still confuse, so timing with the doctor is best. They will tell you the right day to test for an accurate result.
My doctor said a blood beta hCG test can detect pregnancy quite early, around 8 to 10 days after conception, even before a urine test would. It is more sensitive than home kits. If you want an early confirmation, the lab blood test is the most reliable option.
In my IVF the clinic always used the blood beta hCG because it picks things up earlier and more accurately than strips. They timed it about 10 to 12 days after transfer. If you are anxious for an early answer, ask your doctor about the blood test.
