How early can you detect pregnancy through ultrasound?

Home test came positive and im super eager to see something on scan. Period is just one week late. If i go for ultrasound now will they even see anything or is it too soon? when did u all get ur first scan?

Around 6 weeks is when it usually shows clearly.

My gynac said an early ultrasound can pick up the sac around 5 to 6 weeks, and heartbeat usually a little after. Before that its often too early to see clearly. She advised waiting rather than rushing in for a scan too soon.

I rushed for a scan way too early and they could barely see anything, which made me panic for no reason. When I went back a couple of weeks later, everything was perfect. Dont rush it like I did, timing matters.
