How early can you start lactating during pregnancy?
Noticed a little leaking from my breast and im only in 6th month. Got a bit surprised, didnt expect this so soon. Is this normal this early or should i be worried?
I remember seeing wet spots on my t-shirt around 24 weeks and crying because I got so scared! It's completely normal, your body is just getting ready for your little one.
Some women start leaking colostrum as early as the second trimester, around 16 to 20 weeks. It's just your body preparing, but do mention it to your doctor at your next visit for peace of mind.
I totally understand how surprising this can be! It can start as early as the fifth or sixth month, which is just nature's beautiful way of preparing for your baby.
I have read that some women notice light leakage in the second trimester itself. It seems to be a very normal part of the body preparing for motherhood.
It's very common to leak a few drops of colostrum in your second or third trimester. Don't try to squeeze or pump it now, just let your body do its natural thing.
After dealing with terrible morning sickness, leaking in the 6th month was another surprise for me! Just use breast pads, it's very common and nothing to worry about.
