How early can you test for pregnancy before period?
My period is due after 5 days and I have a sensitive kit at home. I want to test but dont want a false negative and more sadness. How many days before period did you test?
I was so impatient and tested 5 days before, got a negative and felt sad, then positive after my missed date haha. So early testing just stressed me out. Honestly waiting a bit saves the heartache.
Beta the patience is hard I know, but a test after the missed period is most accurate. Too early and a negative may not even be true. Wait, use morning urine, and breathe.
I used to test way too early out of anxiety and it never gave peace, just more overthinking. Learnt the hard way to wait till the missed date. Trust me your mind will thank you, an early negative messes with your head.
Honestly I would wait till the day your period is due or a day after for a clear result. Testing too early just gives faint confusing lines and more tension. Use first morning urine, that has the strongest hormone level.
My doctor told me the most reliable result is after your missed period, but some sensitive home kits can show from a few days before, sometimes 3-4 days prior. Earlier than that the hormone is too low and you may get a false negative. A blood test at a lab can detect it earlier and more accurately.
Some early detection kits claim 5-6 days before period but accuracy is low that early. My tracker reminded me to test on the day my period was due and it was spot on. If you cant wait, retest after a couple days, dont rely on one early strip.
