How early do montgomery glands appear in pregnancy?
I've noticed small bumps around my nipples and I'm wondering if these are Montgomery glands. How early in pregnancy do they typically appear? Is it a common sign?
Hey! For me they showed up around the 8th week or so. It's just your body's beautiful way of preparing for the baby, absolutely normal sign. I had a smooth normal delivery and these changes are just part of the process.
Mine came up around week 5 itself and I got so scared thinking it was some skin infection! I'm in my 2nd trimester now and they are still there. Did anyone else also freak out seeing them for the first time?
I noticed them around my second month when I was pampered at my mom's place for my first trimester. My mother told me it's just nature's way of preparing the body to feed the baby later, so I felt very relaxed.
Honestly, it varies quite a bit from person to person. Some women notice these bumps in the first few weeks itself, while others don't see them till much later. It's always best to ask your gynac during your routine checkup if you feel any discomfort.
For me, those tiny bumps started appearing around the 6th or 7th week. But listen, if there is any pain or discharge, please check with your gynac once because every body is different. I had a really complicated pregnancy journey so I always tell everyone to not take any symptom lightly and keep doc informed.
They can actually show up quite early, sometimes even by the 6th week of pregnancy. It's just your oil glands getting enlarged because of hormonal shifts preparing you for lactation. Nothing to panic about, it is a very common early sign.
Oh, those little bumps on the nipple area? They appeared pretty early for me, like around the second month itself. Actually they are so helpful later because they naturally lubricate the breast when you start breastfeeding, so don't worry about them at all.
