My period is 2 days late and im super impatient to test. Dont want a false negative tho. How early can the urine test actually pick it up? anyone tested very early and got correct result?
Home urine kit usually shows from the day of missed period, some sensitive ones a few days before. But for accurate result wait till missed period and test with first morning urine, its more concentrated then.
It detects the hCG hormone in urine. Most kits say from missed period day, around 4 weeks. For best result use morning urine and dont drink too much water before. If negative but period still missing, retest after few days.
Generally around the time of your missed period it shows reliably. If u test very early it might miss it even if u are pregnant, so a negative early on isnt final. Repeat after a few days if period doesnt come.
Babe just wait for the missed period, testing too early only gives confusing faint lines and stress. Morning pee, first wee of the day, gives the clearest result. Dont stress too much over one faint line.
I tested 2 days before my period was due and got a faint line, then tested again after missing and it was clear. So early testing can show but the line might be very light. Anyone else got faint line first?
