My period is still 3 days away and I am tempted to test. I have some cramps and sore breasts but it could be PMS also. How early did urine test show positive for you?
My doctor explained the hormone takes time to build up, so urine kits are accurate around the missed period or a couple days after. If you really cant wait, a blood test at the lab can pick it up a bit earlier than urine. But for home kit, patience is key.
Best is to wait till you actually miss the period. Testing 4-5 days before just gives faint or false negative and tension. If it's negative but period still doesn't come, test again after 3 days.
Usually the home urine test shows correct only after your missed period, so wait at least 1 day after the date you expected periods. Use first morning urine, it's more concentrated. I tested too early once and got a faint line that confused me a lot.
Same doubt I had! Mine showed positive only 2 days after missed period, before that it was negative even though I was pregnant. So early test = not reliable, that's what I learnt.
I was so impatient also haha. But honestly waiting till the missed day saved me from a heartbreak of fake negative. Morning wali urine se test karna better hota hai.
