How effective is the pill at preventing pregnancy?
We are not ready for a baby yet and im thinking of starting the pill. Just want to know how reliable it really is, like can u still get pregnant on it? Trying to plan properly.
Taken correctly every day at the same time the pill is very effective, but missing doses lowers it. I used it between my pregnancies and it worked fine when i was regular. Your gynac can pick the right one for you.
It works well but only if you are consistent, that is the main catch. My husband always said skipping or late pills is where people slip up. Talk to a gynac so they can choose one that suits your body.
Honestly the hard part is remembering it daily with a busy schedule. I set a phone alarm so i wouldnt forget. If you cant be regular, ask your doctor about other options.
