My doctor put me on glyciphage and im pcos. She said it would help us conceive but didnt explain much and i didnt get a chance to ask properly. Anyone here conceived while on it? Curious how it actually works.
It was part of my journey too before treatment. From what my doctor said it mainly helps women with insulin or PCOS issues by regulating cycles. Everyone's case is different though, so don't compare doses with others, just trust your own doctor's plan.
I had read about this when I was researching PCOS and trying. Basically it sorts out the hormone-insulin side so cycles become more regular. But honestly it's a doctor's call, I wouldn't take it without one prescribing it.
I was on glyciphage for my PCOS and my doctor explained it helps by improving insulin and that can make ovulation more regular, which helps conceiving. But it's not a fertility pill exactly, it worked alongside other treatment for me. Please take it only as prescribed.
Please don't start this on your own based on what worked for someone else. It's prescribed after tests for specific reasons. My doctor checked my reports first before deciding. Have a proper consultation.
