My doctor has put me on hcg injections this cycle and i didnt fully understand how it helps. Trying to learn a bit more before my next appointment. Anyone who took these, how did it go for u?
From what I understand it basically supports the hormone that keeps the early pregnancy going. But honestly the timing and dose is fully a doctor's call, dont take it on your own. Just ask your gynac to explain why they prescribed it for you.
During my IVF I had hcg shots and the doctor explained it helps support the pregnancy hormone levels. Each clinic does it a bit differently so please follow exactly what your doc tells you. Sending you good thoughts on your journey.
With my pcos they gave me some support injections too but I wont pretend to know the exact science. What I learnt is every case is different, so trust your own doctor over general info. Dont compare your protocol with others na.
