I tracked my cycle on an app so I knew when period was due. Tested with a home kit a day after missed period, morning sample. Apps help you not test too early which gives wrong faint results.
Home kit is cheap, like 50-100 rs, do that first. Only if positive go for the blood beta hcg test which costs a bit more. No point spending on lab test before the home strip confirms anything.
Easiest is a home urine kit from chemist, do it with first morning urine after your missed period. If it shows positive or even faint, go get a blood beta hcg test for confirmation. That's the proper way.
I did the same recently. Bought a strip from medical store, peed in a small clean cup and dipped it, waited few mins. Then confirmed with blood test at lab. When did you miss your period?
