My doctor said she will check my cervix at the next visit and honestly im a little anxious about it. Im 36 weeks now. does it hurt? what exactly do they do? pls tell me ur experience.

Near my delivery the doctor did the internal check to see how dilated i was. It was a bit uncomfortable but over in seconds honestly. Nothing to be scared of, the staff are gentle.
My doctor checked it two ways, an internal exam with fingers near the due date, and earlier through ultrasound to measure cervix length. She explained the scan one is to watch for early opening. It sounds scary but the exam is quick.
