A close friend just found out hers is ectopic and im trying to understand what she will go through. The whole thing sounds scary and i dont know much about it. If anyone has been through this, how was it handled?
My gynac explained that an ectopic can be treated with medication if found very early, or with laparoscopic surgery otherwise. The exact method depends on your situation and how far along it is. This is fully a doctor decision, not something to manage at home.
It's handled by the doctors either with medicine or surgery, and they take good care of you through it. I know it sounds frightening but they manage these well. The most important thing is getting checked early so they can act quickly.
I went through an ectopic, depending on how early it's caught the doctor either gives medicine to resolve it or does keyhole surgery. Mine was managed by the doctor very promptly which is why early scans matter so much. Please dont delay if you suspect it, get to a doctor fast.
