How is glucose test done during pregnancy?

My doc told me to come for the sugar test next visit and honestly im nervous, hate needles and fasting both. I just want to know what actually happens during it. Can someone who did it tell me?

I did this test and the drink is super sweet honestly, you have to finish it in a set time. They drew blood at intervals. Mine came high so they diagnosed GD, after which I managed it with diet and follow ups. Dont skip the test, its important.

You drink glucose water and they check blood after a wait. Simple, just a bit sweet to gulp down.

My doc explained you drink a sweet glucose solution and then they take your blood after one or two hours to see how your body handles sugar. Some do a fasting one first. It checks for gestational diabetes, usually done around 24-28 weeks.
