Im 33 weeks with my first and honestly the closer it gets the more scared i am about the actual delivery. Everyone describes the pain so differently that im more confused now. For the mommas who went through it, how was it really? pls be honest with me.
I started with labour pains then ended up with a C-section. The early contractions felt like really strong period cramps moving in waves. Whatever path it takes, the hospital team guides u through it, dont be scared.
It builds gradually, starts mild and gets stronger and closer together. Breathing and walking helped me in early labour. Ask ur doctor about pain relief options beforehand so u know whats available to u.
Imagine the worst period cramp and then turn the volume way up haha. But honestly the body kind of knows what to do, and the nurses are pros. U will get through it and have a great story to tell.
Dont let the stories scare u beta. Yes it hurts but its pain with a purpose, and every contraction brings u closer to ur baby. Keep ur doctor and a calm person near u and u will manage beautifully.
I totally understand the fear, I had it too. The pain is real but its also the most powerful thing ur body will ever do. The second I heard my baby cry, everything melted away. U've got this.
It comes in waves, builds up and then eases, then comes again. It was intense for me but the gaps between let u breathe. Honestly the moment they put my baby on me I forgot most of it. U r stronger than u think.
