First time and im a bit clueless about the whole process. Got a faint line on the home test but not fully sure. How do they actually confirm it properly?
I first did a home test when my period was late and saw two lines, I felt my heart racing! Then I went to the gynac who did a blood test and scan to confirm. That visit made it feel real.
Usually a home urine test first after missed period, then a blood test and scan at the doctor to confirm. The home kit gives the hint, the doctor confirms it properly. Thats how it went both my times.
My doctor explained it step by step, the test detects hcg hormone, urine kit at home or blood test which is more sensitive, and then ultrasound confirms it and checks the location and heartbeat. So its hormone plus scan together.
In our family the elders would guess by missed period and symptoms, but really the kit and then the doctors blood test and scan are what confirm it. I trusted the scan the most, it showed everything clearly.
