Im 34 weeks and getting nervous about delivery. How do u even know its water breaking and not just discharge or pee? i keep imagining it and overthinking. Pls tell me how it actually felt for u.
Important thing, if you think your water broke please call your doctor right away even if no pain yet. Note the colour too, if its greenish or smelly tell them. Once water breaks there is infection risk so dont delay going in.
Sometimes a gush, sometimes a slow leak, varies for everyone. If you are unsure whether its pee or water, a leak you cant stop is usually water. Either way call the hospital, dont second guess.
Mine wasnt a big gush like movies, it was more like a slow trickle that kept coming and I couldnt control it. I wasnt sure first but it kept leaking so I called the hospital. They told me come in immediately.
For me it broke at home suddenly, a warm gush and then continuous wetness. Once it breaks you should head to hospital, dont wait around. The contractions usually pick up after.
Ha, its not the dramatic splash from films most of the time. Mine felt like I sneezed and lost all control, very glamorous. Just keep a towel handy near due date and call your doc when it happens.
