Went for my scan early and they couldnt detect the baby's heartbeat yet, doc said come after 10 days. Since then im so restless and keep googling. How late can it actually start showing? Anyone who had a similar wait pls share.
Oh, that wait for the heartbeat can feel like an eternity, na? It's usually visible by 6 to 7 weeks via transvaginal ultrasound. But sometimes, especially if your ovulation was later than you think, it can appear a bit later, even up to 8 weeks. It doesn't mean anything bad, just different timing. Try to stay calm, mama.
I was also super anxious about this in my first trimester. I think my doctor saw it around 7 weeks. Is it true that sometimes if you have a tilted uterus it's harder to see early? I felt like every day was a wait, did anyone else feel this much suspense?
I'm also wondering this! I'm around 6 weeks and my doc said we might see it in another week or so. It's making me a little nervous. Some friends told me it can be seen around 6-7 weeks. Is it okay if it's a little later?
My doc didn't detect it until about 7 weeks, even though I was sure about my dates. We went for the first scan at 6 weeks and saw just the sac, then a week later, there it was! Don't panic if it's not super early, sometimes it takes a bit for it to be visible on ultrasound. Every pregnancy is different, truly.
Actually, it depends on your cycle and when conception happened, so it can vary. Usually, docs look for it between 6-8 weeks. If it's not seen by then, your gynac might ask for another scan in a few days. Just keep up with your regular doctor follow-ups and scans, they will monitor everything properly. My doc was very particular about this.
