We are trying for the first time and im just trying to understand the timing of it all. Like does it happen right away or take some days? Sorry if its a basic doubt, genuinely curious.
My doctor explained sperm can live up to about 5 days, and actual conception happens when the egg is fertilised around ovulation. Then it takes a few more days to implant. So pregnancy isnt instant, it can be days after.
I used to think it was immediate too. Actually it can take up to a week or so for everything to happen inside. So no point testing very early, the result wont show. Wait for the missed period.
I tracked my cycle on an app, conception usually lines up with your fertile window not the exact day of sex. Implantation is roughly a week later. So the timeline can be several days, not one moment.
Its not right after, yaar. Fertilisation depends on whether you are near ovulation, and implantation takes about 6 to 10 days more. Thats why a test only works after your missed period, not the next day.
