I have rheumatoid arthritis and on some medication for it. We want to start a family soon and im worried it might take long or be complicated. Any ladies here with RA who conceived, how was your journey?
With a condition like RA its really case by case, I wouldnt put a timeline on it. The medicines and disease activity matter a lot. Please plan it with both ur rheumatologist and gynac together, they can guide timing properly.
Honestly this needs proper medical planning. Some RA meds arent safe in pregnancy so they may adjust them before u try. Dont go by a general number, your doctors will tell u based on ur RA control. Pls coordinate with them first.
I cant give a timeline but I want to say dont lose hope, with the right medical team many women with health conditions become moms. The key is planning conception when ur RA is stable and meds are pregnancy safe. Please talk to ur specialists, theyll support u.
Theres no fixed answer for this, it depends on how well controlled the RA is and which medications ur on. Many women with RA conceive, but it should be planned with a rheumatologist and gynac. Best to get pre pregnancy counselling.
