Im 14 weeks and craving imli and golgappe like crazy, bohot zyada. Will this go on the whole pregnancy or does it settle after some time? curious how long it lasted for u all.
Honestly, for me, cravings didn't 'last' in a fixed way; they just kept changing! One week it was sour, next week sweet. They eased up a lot after the first trimester, but some milder ones lingered through the second. By the third, it was more about comfort food than intense cravings. They pretty much vanished postpartum, thank god!
Morning sickness ke saath cravings bhi aate hain, it's a whole package sometimes! For me, the intense, 'I must have this NOW' type of cravings were strongest in the first and early second trimester. As the nausea eased, the cravings also became a bit less demanding. But don't be surprised if some mild ones pop up even in the third trimester!
From my personal experience, the strongest cravings were definitely in the first trimester, especially for really specific things like sour candies. Then they sort of tapered off and became less intense by the third trimester, turning more into general food preferences. Everyone's different though, so yours might be shorter or longer. My doctor didn't say there's a fixed duration for them.
Oh, cravings! They can be funny things. For some, they're mostly in the first trimester, for others, they might come and go throughout the whole pregnancy. Don't worry too much about it, just try to eat healthy generally. If you crave something, have a small portion. Bas, it's normal and part of the journey.
How long do cravings last? Mera toh abhi bhi chal raha hai, aur baby ko toh 6 mahine ho gaye! Haha, just kidding... mostly! Jokes apart, they usually peak in the first trimester and then kinda change or lessen. But honestly, kuch cravings toh life long reh jaate hain, especially after you discover new foods. Enjoy them while you can!
I remember those cravings! They felt so real, so intense, like my baby absolutely *needed* that specific thing. For me, they were strongest throughout the second trimester, then mellowed down. After delivery, they just vanished overnight, it was almost like a switch flipped. It's a beautiful, unique part of your journey, darling, enjoy it while it lasts.
