Im around 6 weeks and noticed some light spotting yesterday which got me really worried. It hasnt been heavy but im anxious about how long it normally goes on. Im going to call my doctor but wanted to hear from others who went through this.
I had a little spotting very early and I felt so scared, my heart was in my mouth. Mine was just a couple of days and light, and the doctor said it was implantation. But I called her immediately, didn't take a chance, and that's what I'd suggest you do too.
I understand how frightening any bleeding feels in early days. Spotting can be short, a day or two, but the amount and colour matter more than just the time. Please don't sit and guess, call your doctor so they can reassure or check you properly.
Light implantation spotting usually lasts only a day or two and is very light. But honestly any bleeding in early pregnancy is something you should tell your doctor about, especially if it's red, heavy or with cramps. I'd rather you get it checked than wait it out.
A little light spotting for a day or two early on can be normal, but it's not something to self diagnose. If it's more than light spotting, or going on longer, or with pain, get it checked the same day. Better safe.
