How long does implantation bleeding last during pregnancy?
Saw some light spotting few days back and im hoping it could be implantation. Its very little, just on and off. How many days does it normally last? Trying to figure out if its that or something else.
I've been reading up a lot on this because we are actively trying! From what I understand, it only lasts for a few hours to maximum 2 days. It's just very light pink or brown spotting, completely different from a normal heavy period.
Yes, it is very light and only lasts for 1 or 2 days max, haan na. It's not like a period where you need to use pads, just a little spotting. If it's more than that or if you have pain, then definitely call your gynac.
Implantation bleeding should only last between 24 to 48 hours and is very light spotting, never a heavy flow. It happens when the embryo attaches to the uterine wall and breaks tiny blood vessels. If you are experiencing heavy bleeding or clots, it is not implantation, so please check with your doctor.
Please be very careful with any kind of bleeding. While implantation bleeding usually lasts just 1 or 2 days and is very light, if you see bright red blood or if it lasts longer, please call your gynac immediately. I had bleeding early on and it's always best to let the doctor check.
My doctor told me that implantation spotting happens roughly 6 to 12 days after ovulation and lasts only a day or two. She specifically said that unlike a menstrual cycle, this blood is either light pink or dark brown and never contains any clots. If it extends beyond 3 days, it's always safer to consult your obstetrician.
Mine lasted for just one afternoon, it was just a tiny pink spot on my tissue. It usually happens around 10 to 14 days after conception and stops on its own very quickly. Don't stress, it's just a sign that your little baby has safely nestled inside.
