How long does it take to lose weight after pregnancy?
Delivered my baby 3 months back and still carrying so much extra weight, my old clothes dont fit at all. Honestly feeling a bit low about it. How long did it take for you to come back to normal?
In my hospital, the postpartum physiotherapist and nutritionist sat with me to discuss a safe workout plan. They strictly advised against any crash diets. It takes about 6 months to a year for your body to fully heal, so do consult your hospital's specialist first.
Honestly yaar, it took me almost a year to lose the baby weight. Actually, don't rush it at all. Your body spent nine whole months growing a human, so give it at least that much time to bounce back naturally.
My doctor explained that celebrity bounce-backs are not realistic for most of us. Most of the immediate weight is just baby, placenta, and fluid, which goes in a week. The rest of the fat takes about 6 to 12 months to burn, especially if you are breastfeeding, so patience is key.
I am currently in my 8th month and honestly, I am already worrying about this! How long did it take for you guys to get back to normal shape? I hope it's not too difficult to start light workouts after delivery.
