Sorry if its a silly doubt but im genuinely confused. After we try, how long does it actually take for conception to happen inside? does it happen same day or take few days? just trying to understand the process.

It doesnt happen instantly, the whole process of conceiving and implanting takes around a week or more. You cant test the next day expecting results. Just wait for the missed period and then test properly.
My doctor explained fertilisation can happen within a day or so of the egg meeting sperm, but implantation takes about a week after that. So you wont know immediately. Thats why a test only shows positive after your missed period, not right after.
