How long does nipple soreness last in early pregnancy?
Im around 6 weeks and the soreness is soo much, even towel touching feels uncomfortable. Just want to know till when this lasts. Did it go away for u all after some weeks?
Oh my god, same here! I am in my 8th week and even the bedsheet touching them hurts. Does it really get better in the second trimester? I am desperately waiting for this phase to pass.
It usually peaks during the first trimester and fades away as you enter the second. I used to wear loose cotton bras which helped a lot. It is just your hormones doing their job, so stay positive!
During my checkup at Max, I asked the senior nurse about this intense soreness. She suggested wearing seamless maternity bras and applying a little safe moisturizer. Definitely ask your gynac if it becomes unbearable.
Uff, the soreness was so irritating that only a big bowl of ice cream could distract me from the discomfort! For me, it settled down around week 11. Just pamper yourself with good food till then!
Nipple soreness is very typical because of progesterone spike, but if you notice any fluid discharge or extreme redness, please let your doctor know. I had severe issues, so I always say don't ignore any changes that feel abnormal.
I panicked so much thinking it was some infection and almost cried! But honestly, it's just your body preparing for breastfeeding and it got much better for me by week 12 or 13. Hang in there, it is totally normal!
Don't worry dear, it is just because of the increased blood flow and hormones. It usually settles down after the first 3 months. Wear soft, non-wired cotton bras and avoid any harsh soaps on that area.
