How long does water retention last after pregnancy?
Delivered my baby 3 weeks back and my feet and hands are still so puffy yaar. I thought it will go down by now. How long did it take for u all to feel normal again?
My doctor told me that hormonal shifts and IV fluids from delivery cause this swelling. It typically peaks in the first few days and goes away in 1-2 weeks through sweating and frequent peeing.
I panicked so much when my feet looked like balloons even after giving birth! But my doctor said it's totally normal and it completely disappeared in about 10 days.
Uff, I am in my 3rd trimester and my feet already look like potatoes! Hearing that it lasts even after delivery is making me cry and laugh at the same time, haha.
After such a long and delicate journey, postpartum swelling can feel heavy. It usually starts reducing in 1 to 2 weeks, so please be gentle with your healing body.
It's standard postpartum edema and usually clears up within 10-14 days. However, if you have swelling only in one leg or high BP, please consult your doctor immediately.
Haha, I thought I would fit into my old shoes right after delivery, but my feet had other plans! Don't worry, the Shrek feet phase only lasts for a week or two.
