We have a family trip planned and id be around 7 months by then. Thoda worried if flying that late is okay or if i should just skip. Anyone travelled by flight in later months?
Honestly, after the 32nd week, I could barely walk to the bathroom, let alone fly! Most airlines don't even let you board after 36 weeks. If you really have to travel, do it in the second trimester when you actually have some energy left.
I had to travel for an emergency in my 6th month while managing my thyroid medication. My doctor checked my blood reports and gave me a fit-to-fly certificate, which airlines strictly ask for. Make sure your doctor's follow-up is up to date before booking.
Generally, up to 32 or 34 weeks is considered safe if you have a normal pregnancy, but keep praying and stay positive. Always carry your medical reports with you. Keep some warm water and simple home snacks to keep yourself comfortable during the journey.
Travel is safe mostly till 32 weeks, but please check the airline rules first as they need a doctor's certificate after 28 weeks. Also, choose an aisle seat so you can easily go to the washroom and stretch your legs.
With twins, my flying window closed very early! My doctor advised against flying after 24 weeks because of the risk of early labor. For a single pregnancy, it's usually okay till 32-34 weeks, but with two, we can't take any chances!
I traveled till about 30 weeks because of my job, and it was mostly fine. Just don't lift any heavy bags at the airport and keep moving your feet. Since I had a C-section later, I was glad I finished all my travel early because post-delivery travel is even harder!
